(UTV|COLOMBO) – Former Parliamentarian Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka says the Samagi Jana Balawegaya led by Sajith Premadasa has selected the symbol of the telephone to contest the 2020 General Election.
Addressing a rally in Minuwangoda Fonseka said the Samagi Jana Balawegaya is prepared to commence a new journey.
He said the alliance is prepared to engage in a new journey with new individuals.
Fonseka said they want to change their image, adding that regardless of who joins the alliance, they will engage in a journey with the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, claiming that a majority are with them.
He claimed that they will continue to use the symbol of the registered party they took and stated that the Samagi Jana Balawegaya will move forward with the telephone symbol.
