Rs.29 million spent for COVID-19 grant for April

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi says the government has spent Rs.29 million for the month of April on providing the Rs.5,000 allowance to families affected by the coronavirus.

The Minister said the government made preparations to disburse the funds for the month of May as well.

She said 794,421 families of disabled persons and kidney patients and 571,892 families were granted the Rs.5,000 through the Samurdhi Development Authority.
