Rahul Dravid joins team India for Pakistan match

(UTV | INDIA) – India head coach Rahul Dravid has tested negative for COVID-19 and has joined the team in Dubai ahead of its Asia Cup 2022 opener against Pakistan.

The BCCI confirmed that interim coach, Mr VVS Laxman who was present with the side in Dravid’s absence, has returned to Bengaluru to oversee the India A programme.

Dravid had mild symptoms and tested positive ahead of the team’s scheduled departure to the UAE earlier this week. The Asia Cup will be Dravid‘s first assignment as the coach in a major big-cricket tournament since taking charge post the 2021 T20 World Cup.
