(UTV | COLOMBO) – The issuance and handing of postal ballots for the 2020 General Election to the post will take place today.
The Election Commission said postal ballots will be distributed till Thursday.
705,085 voters are eligible to cast their postal ballot on the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th of July while the 20th and the 21st of July have been announced as additional dates to cast postal votes.
The Election Commission said polling cards for the upcoming General Election will be handed over to the Postal Department on the 11th, 12th and 13th of July. Polling cards are expected to be distributed by the 29th of July.
