(UTV | COLOMBO) – Inspector General of Police CD Wickramaratne today informed the Court of Appeal that underworld gang member Janith Madushanka alias ‘Podi Lassi’ will be produced before the Magistrate once his detention period ends.
The petition filed by ‘Podi Lassi’ before the Appeal Court calling for an order to secure his safety was taken up for consideration today.
Podi Lassi’s detention period is due to end on Wednesday.
The Appeal Court today informed the IGP to inform of future legal proceedings that will be pursued in relation to ‘Podi Lassi’.
