Pistol found in Azath Salley’s vehicle – Police

(UTV | COLOMBO) – A foreign-manufactured pistol with ammunition reportedly discovered inside a vehicle belonging to former Western Province Governor Azath Salley.

On the advice of the Attorney General, the Leader of the National Unity Front (NUF), Azath Salley was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the Sri Lanka Police over the statements he made recently.

Earlier, 5 members of the CID, headed by an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) assigned to inquire into statements made by the former Governor of the Western Province.

The Leader of the National Unity Front (NUF) has recorded a statement at the Cinnamon Gardens Police Station on Saturday (13).
