(UTV | COLOMBO) – During the last 24-hour period the Police had arrested 1561 persons for failing to adhere to health guidelines and quarantine regulations, said Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana.
He said that this was the highest number of arrests within a single day related to Quarantine Law violation.
The DIG stated that 36,921 suspects have been arrested since October 30 for not wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing in public areas.
