Orders to arrest Sanath Nishantha

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Court of Appeal orders the IGP to arrest and produce State Minister Sanath Nishantha for failing to appear before court today.

The Court of Appeal today ordered the Inspector General of Police to arrest State Minister Sanath Nishantha, who is accused of contempt of court for failing to appear before the court today.

The Court of Appeal had recently issued a summons to the State Minister to appear in court today to present reasons for not penalizing him for contempt of court.

However, he did not appear before the court today.

Therefore, the Court of Appeal issued this order.
