Nearly 2,000 PCR tests conducted in SL yesterday

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The total number of PCR tests conducted thus far in Sri Lanka to identify COVID-19, has now exceeded 53,000.

A total of 1,998 PCR tests were conducted in the island yesterday.

This is now the highest number of tests conducted in a single day thus far, since testing for the virus began on the 18th of March.

Accordingly the total number of PCR tests conducted thus far now stands at 53,092.
