(UTV | COLOMBO) – The National Oil Anointing Ceremony for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year will to be held today at the auspicious time of 7.16 a.m. at Peliyagoda Vidyalankara Pirivena under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Indigenous Medicine Promotion and Rural and Ayurvedic Hospitals Development and Community Health State Minister Sisira Jayakody said that a programme to plant one million herbal plants too would commence today coinciding with this national ceremony.
State Minister Jayakody added that these events are organized to bless the people with good health in the New Year.
