(UTV | COLOMBO) – Referring to the incident where Moratuwa Mayor Samanlal Fernando allegedly threatened a female doctor at a vaccination centre, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Namal Rajapaksa extended his apology to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and said it was an isolated incident.
Minister Namal apologized to the President during the COVID-19 meeting held at the Presidential Secretariat.
The President said they had been doing well in the vaccination drive and added this particular incident however had spoiled the entire program.
“We should not let incidents of this nature happen in future,” the President added.
