(UTV | COLOMBO) – Over 1,000 individuals were arrested yesterday (12) for failing to adhere to health and safety regulations.
Accordingly, 1,353 arrests were made for not wearing face masks and failing to maintain social distancing, the Police Media Spokesperson, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Ajith Rohana said.
The DIG added that 31,395 suspects have been arrested since 30 October in this regard.
