(UTV | COLOMBO) – The country having witnessed 2,386 COVID-19 cases yesterday, Kandy District recorded the highest number of positive cases of 338, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.
The highest number of cases were reported from the Kandy town area and the second-highest reported from the Menikhinna area.
Colombo recorded 227 cases followed by Gampaha with 184 and Kalutara stood next with 321 cases, they said.
There was a significant increase of Covid cases in Nuwara Eliya with 228, followed by Matara (104) and Kurunegala (181), the NOCPCO added.
