James Mangold plans Buster Keaton film

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Mangold is lining up his next project and is currently developing a biopic about filmmaker Joseph Frank.

After various stops and stars due to injury and the pandemic, the fifth “Indiana Jones” film is on the “home stretch” of production according to the film’s director James Mangold.

As a result, Deadline reports that Mangold is lining up his next project and is currently developing a biopic about celebrated physical comedian and pioneering silent filmmaker Joseph Frank ‘Buster’ Keaton for 20th Century Studios.

Meetings are currently underway with writers to pen the film which will be based on Marion Meade’s book “Buster Keaton: Cut to the Chase”. Mangold will direct and produce the feature.

Mangold’s other films include “Walk the Line”, “Identity”, “Girl, Interrupted”, “The Wolverine”, “Kate & Leopold”, “Cop Land”, “Knight and Day”, “Ford v Ferrari”, “3:10 to Yuma” remake and “Logan”.
