Imported gas to be inspected in the ship itself

(UTV | COLOMBO) – State Minister of Consumer Protection, Lasantha Alagiyawanna stated that the relevant agencies will start inspecting the standard and quality of the imported gas at the ships themselves before entering the port.

He also said that the testing of gas and cylinders will be started from today when they are released to the market from the gas companies.

He said that as a precautionary measure, tests are being carried out on the chemicals that are added to the gases to get the odor.
