(UTV | COLOMBO) – Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Northern, North-central, North-western, Eastern and Uva provinces. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere especially during the evening or night, said the Met Department.
Heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places in the Northern, Northcentral, North-western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Trincomalee district.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
