Hearing of Pilapitiya case at Magistrate’s Court suspended

(UTV | COLOMBO)  – The Court of Appeal has issued an interim order suspending the hearing of Magistrate’s Court case filed against interdicted High Court Judge Gihan Pilapitiya.

The writ petition was filed by interdicted High Court Judge Gihan Pilapitiya on March 4 seeking an interim order prohibiting the Acting IGP and his agents from arresting him over the controversial telephone conversations with former UNP MP Ranjan Ramanayake.

Embilipitiya High Court Judge Gihan Pilapitiya was interdicted on January 22 over the controversial phone conversation he had with Ramanayake.
