‘Govt pushing people towards destitution’

UTV | COLOMBO – Leader of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya Sajith Premadasa charges the present government of attempting to push people towards destitution instead of uplifting them.

Speaking during a rally in Rambukkana yesterday, Premadasa said the Samagi Jana Balawegaya will establish a people-friendly government following the conduct of the upcoming Parliamentary Election.

He said the government is attempting to deceive the people just as they did at the Presidential Election.

Premadasa added the government’s hope is not to help the people live, but to push the public towards destitution.

He claimed the Samagi Jana Balawegaya will establish a government with the people’s strength.

He noted through the new concept of ‘grama rajya nagara rajya’, they will build the country by building villages and cities and will establish a people’s government that will create the era of the general public.
