‘Govt. not launching clear probe into 04/21’ – MP Kavinda Jayawardene

(UTV|COLOMBO) – United National Party  (UNP) Parliamentarian Kavinda Jayawardene claims the government is not attempting to launch a clear and comprehensive investigation into the April 21st attacks.

Speaking at a media briefing in Negombo the MP said the government has also failed to introduce a programme to strengthen the economy for the people.

The MP claimed the incumbent government was attempting to change the mind-set of the public by reducing the VAT, the NBT and the Withholding Tax.

He noted however although taxes had been reduced the prices of goods had increased.
