Govt. allows mobile poultry sales amid travel restrictions

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The government allowed travelling vendors to sell eggs and chicken from yesterday, All Sri Lankan Eggs Producers’ Association Executive Director S.M. Premaratne stated.

Farmers in the Northwestern Province, especially those in the Kurunegala and Puttalam districts, have around two billion unsold eggs with them due to the recent travel restrictions, he added.
