(UTV|COLOMBO) – Minister Wimal Weerawansa says the Gem and Jewellery Authority will be granted the opportunity to import gems and jewellery free of duty.
The Minister said a Cabinet Paper in this regard has been tabled.
Minister Weerawansa said the gem and jewellery industry collapsed during the last five years adding that concessions will be granted for businessmen to address debt concerns.
