Gazette issued removing control price of several food items

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Consumer Affairs Authority has issued an extraordinary gazette notification removing the price control imposed on several essential commodities including sugar, dhal, chicken, potato and canned fish.

The gazette issued by the Consumer Affairs Authority rescinds seven gazette notifications issued pertaining to exiting price controls on several food items, and the new gazette comes into effect from yesterday.
