Former United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) member of the Weligepola Pradeshiya Sabha, Kodithuwakku Arachchilage Wasantha, alias Alibaby, has been sentenced to death.
The order was issued by Embilipitiya High Court Judge Buddhika S. Ragala.
Wasantha was convicted after being found guilty of abducting and murdering a person in the Hatangala area of Weligepola in 2012.
