Five Kuwait returnees test positive for COVID-19

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Five persons who returned from Kuwait have tested positive for COVID-19 today.

Accordingly the total number of persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Sri Lanka has increased to 1,094.

The Department of Government Information said the five cases had been reported from a quarantine facility in Trincomalee.

Meanwhile the number of persons who recovered after testing positive for COVID-19 in the country rose to 674.

The Epidemiology Unit said 14 persons recovered and were discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours.
