(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Colombo High Court Trial- at- bar yesterday discharged five accused from 7,573 charges levelled against them by Attorney General Dappula de Livera in the Avant Garde illegal arms transportation case.
The Trial –At Bar Judges Dhammika Ganepola, Manjula Thilakeratna and Aditiya Patabendige discharged the Avant Garde Security Service Company, the Rakna Lanka Maritime Service Company, Major General Palitha Fernando, Major General Karunaratna Egodawela and former Additional Defence Secretary Sujatha Dhamayanthi Jayaratna from the 7,573 chargers.
