(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Police arrested five Chinese nationals on Tuesday (06) in connection with an illegal gambling site at Lauris Road in Bambalapitiya during a special raid, Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said.
The raid was jointly conducted by Bambalapitiya and Kollupitiya Police.
A sum of Rs. 1 million and 88,500 and 2,600 Chinese Yuan were taken into custody from the gambling site. The suspects were produced before the Magistrate’s Court along with the money.
Police are conducting further investigations.
