Fire breaks out at Kegalle Public Market

(UTV | COLOMBO) – A fire broke out on the upper floor of Kegalle Public Market building this evening and has caused considerable damage to the premises.

The fire was however, soon brought under control by the Fire Extinguishing Unit of Mawanella Pradeshiya Sabha with the backing of the military and police personnel.

The building housed about 60 shops and stores.
