(UTV | COLOMBO) – Apple TV+ has premiered the teaser trailer for their upcoming dark comedy series “The Shrink Next Door” starring “Anchorman” duo Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd.
Adapted from Wondery and Joe Nocera’s popular true-crime podcast, Rudd plays psychiatrist Dr. Isaac ‘Ike’ Herschkopf who gradually insinuates himself into the personal life of a longtime patient named Martin ‘Marty’ Markowitz (Ferrell).
The series will explore themes of manipulation, exploitation, and the more dysfunctional aspects of a doctor-patient relationship. TV veteran Georgia Pritchett wrote the pilot.
Michael Showalter (“The Eyes of Tammy Faye,” “Search Party”) directs the series which also stars Kathryn Hahn and Casey Wilson.
“The Shrink Next Door” will be available exclusively on Apple TV+ beginning November 12th.
