Farmers to get cash in bank account for fertiliser, free insurance

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Farmers will receive cash for the full market value of fertiliser to their bank accounts from the next cultivation season.

Agriculture Minister Duminda Dissanayake stressed that farmers cultivating corn, soya, and onions will receive a free insurance cover of Rs. 40,000 per acre from the next season.
