(UTV | COVID-19) – European Union leaders are expected to sign off on a huge rescue package for countries hardest-hit by the coronavirus crisis when they hold a video conference later on Thursday.
The 500bn euro (£438bn) package was agreed after bitter debate between richer countries in the north of the EU, and weaker economies in the south which have suffered most from the pandemic.
