(UTV | COLOMBO) – The government has temporarily suspended the distribution of domestic LP gas cylinders across the island, with immediate effect.
Senior official of the State Ministry of Consumer Protection said the distribution of gas was suspended, pending a decision on investigations into reports of gas related explosions in various parts of the country.
The official further said gas companies were informed to suspend the distribution of gas stocks, and the retail sale.
