Referring to a news report being circulated on social media that he is to be appointed as the Assistant Leader of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), MP Dayasiri Jayasekera said he is yet to finalise any decision on his political future.
However, he said SJB leader Sajith Premadasa did invite him to join the party.
“Premadasa did invite me to join the SJB but nothing is finalised yet,” he told the Daily Mirror.
MP Jayasekera contested the general election in 2024 from the SJB ticket while remaining as a member of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).
