‘Curfew may be re-imposed if public are negligent’

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Government Medical Officers Association says curfew will have to be imposed across the island if coronavirus spreads in communities due to public negligence in adhering to health guidelines.

Executive Committee member Dr. Prasad Colambage speaking to a prominent online news portal in the isle said the threat of coronavirus has not diminished.

Dr. Colambage noted all COVID-19 positive cases being reported in the country at present was among Navy personnel and expatriates who had returned to the island adding therefore it was possible to slightly ease the curfew regulations imposed in the country.
