(UTV | COLOMBO) – Full day curfew will be in force in the Nuwara Eliya District tomorrow, the President’s Media Division said.
It said as per the announcement issued yesterday, an island-wide curfew will be effective on Sunday, May 31st.
“The conditions specified in the previous announcement with regard to the implementation of curfew from Monday, June 01st onwards will remain unchanged, the PMD said.
Meanwhile, Acting IGP C.D.Wickramaratne also said quarantine curfew would be imposed in Nuwara Eliya District with effect from midnight today (29) until Sunday midnight (31).
Accordingly, he said all forms of movement within the district except for essential services would be prohibited during the quarantine curfew.
