COVID-19 recoveries rise to 2,121

UTV | COLOMBO -Fifteen more persons who contracted the novel coronavirus have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals.

Accordingly, the number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 2,121.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said nine persons were discharged from the Kattankudy Base Hospital, four persons from the Panagoda Army Hospital, and one each from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases and the Minuwangoda Base Hospital during the past 24 hours.

Accordingly, 650 persons are currently receiving medical treatment at nine facilities across the country.

80 suspected COVID-19 cases are also under medical observation at present.

Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus cases confirmed in the country rose to 2,782.
