Complaints lodged over corrupt GSMB officials

UTV | COLOMBO – The Chairman of the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau Anura Walpola says complaints have been lodged over a number of officials involved in corrupt activities within the Bureau.

The Chairman speaking to media said a special investigation will be carried out, while disciplinary action will be taken against those found guilty.

Walpola added that information has been received of certain Bureau officials engaging in large scale corrupt activities together with sand, soil and gravel racketeers for a number of years.
