(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Cabinet Sub-Committee reviewing the Final Report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCOI) into the Easter attacks has completed the 80 per cent of the task and will hand over its report shortly, Committee Member Prasanna Ranatunga said.
The Committee has met 3 times under the Chairmanship of Minister Chamal Rajapaksa.
He said that the Committee scrutinised the Report very carefully.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa recently appointed the Cabinet Sub-Committee to study in depth the findings and recommendations in the report and to advise on the next course of action.
The Committee comprises Ministers Chamal Rajapaksa, Ministers Johnston Fernando, Prasanna Ranatunga, Ramesh Pathirana, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, and Udaya Gammanpila.
Minister Chamal Rajapaksa stated that the Committee will meet today (15) to conduct a preliminary study on the Report.
