(UTV | COLOMBO) – Cabinet approval has been granted to conduct the proposed Presidential Media Awards Ceremony to encourage local journalists in six selected categories.
Accordingly, awards will be given for works in the year 2021 in Sinhala, Tamil and English languages covering six areas namely TV, Radio, Print Media, Websites, School Media and Media Research.
However, no final decision has been made on the date of the Presidential Media Awards or the call for applications.
