(UTV | COLOMBO) – Ten years after it launched their careers, actor John Boyega and filmmaker Joe Cornish are reuniting for a sequel to 2011’s modern cult classic “Attack the Block”.
The original followed a ragtag group of friends who find themselves defending their UK council estate from glowing toothed aliens. Both have expressed a desire to do a sequel for a few years now.
Cornish returns to write, direct and will produce alongside Boyega, Nira Park and James Wilson. Studiocanal, Film4, Complete Fiction Pictures and UpperRoom Productions are backing the project.
