(UTV | COLOMBO) – Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says the government must reveal to the public the real details about the financial state of the country.
Speaking during an event at the United National Party headquarters Sirikotha, the Leader of the UNP, Former Prime Minister Wickremesinghe said he is willing to discuss with the government to create ways to provide concessions to the public.
The Former Prime Minister said the public is burdened by the loss of income with the collapse of the national economy.
The Leader of the UNP noted that citizens of the country have the right to obtain information relating to the country’s economy.
Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe therefore requested the government to be truthful to the public and support all Sri Lankans to overcome the current economic hardships.
