Another 496 buses warned over violation of health guidelines

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Police have issued warnings to drivers of 496 passenger buses and air-conditioned buses in the Western Province, over the failure to adhere to health guidelines.

The Police Media Unit said warnings were also issued to operators of 562 shops.

The special police operation was carried out in the Western Province from 2pm to 4pm yesterday, to look into whether residents of the province adhere to health guidelines in a stringent manner.

494 Police officers were part of the operation, while 1,204 passenger buses and air-conditioned buses and 1,278 shops were inspected.
