(UTV | COLOMBO) – Another 32 persons have been arrested during the past 24 hours ending at 6 this morning on charges of violating quarantine regulations.
Accordingly, a total of 81,449 persons have been arrested for violating quarantine laws since October last year.
Police said 1,514 persons entering the Western Province and 1,027 persons leaving the province were inspected at 13 entry and exit points to the province yesterday.
295 persons, travelling without a valid reason, were turned back at the checkpoints.
