(UTV | JAFFNA) – All schools in the Jaffna district have been closed today owing to adverse weather.
affna District Secretary K Mahesan confirmed that due to heavy rains, they decided to close all state schools.
He said the district received nearly 200mm of rainfall and therefore they were compelled to close all schools today.
The District Secretary said a decision on whether the schools will be opened tomorrow will be taken later this evening.
