Showery condition expected to continue – Met. Department

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Due to the low level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, prevailing showery condition is expected to continue over the island during next few days, the Department of Meteorology said.

Showers or thundershowers will occur in the most parts of the island after 2.00 PM.

Heavy falls above 100 millimetres can be expected at some places in the North-Western, North-Central, Central, Uva, and Sabaragamuwa Provinces and in Jaffna District.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in Western, Southern, and Northern coastal areas in the morning too.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central Provinces over the island during the morning.
