VIP Assassination Plot: Govt. Analyst Report on former TID Chief and Namal Kumara in two-weeks

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Government Analyst Report on the voice recordings of the alleged conversation between former Terrorism Investigations Department (TDI) Chief, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Nalaka de Silva and the Operations Director of the Anti-Corruption Movement Namal Kumara is scheduled to be submitted to Court within a period of two-weeks.

A special team of the Cybercrimes Unit of the Government Analyst’s Department has commenced investigations into the voice samples provide by DIG Nalaka de Silva and Kumara on Friday (28).

The samples were taken as per a Court order to verify a telephone conversation the DIG allegedly had with the Operational Director of the Anti-Corruption Movement.

The CID is currently investigating the allegations made by Kumara recently that the DIG Nalaka de Silva had been allegedly conspiring to assassinate President Maithripala Sirisena and former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa by using underworld criminal ‘Makadure Madush’ who is absconding Court at the moment.
