Sri Lanka briefs Indian NDC on Navy’s contribution to national security

(UTV|COLOMBO) – A 14 member delegation of the National Defence College (NDC) India, headed by Major General S. C. Mohanty visited the Naval Headquarters in Colombo yesterday (27). During this visit, the head of the delegation Major General Mohanty met with the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Rear Admiral Piyal De Silva and held a cordial discussion.

Subsequently, the visiting delegation was briefed on the role of the Sri Lanka Navy and its contribution in protection of the defence of the nation and its interests. Mementoes were also exchanged to mark this occasion.

Director General Operations, Rear Admiral Niraja Attygalle, Director Naval Operations, Commodore Sanjeewa Dias, Defence Attaché to the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka Captain Ashok Rao and a group of Senior Officers to the Naval Headquarters also attended this discussion.
