Legal action sought against over 160 cases of illicit foreign employment agencies

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Legal action sought on over 160 cases filed against illegal foreign employment agencies in Sri Lanka during the first seven-months of this year, the Foreign Employment Ministry said on Monday (06).

Deputy Minister of Foreign Employment, Manusha Nanayakkara stated that most cases filed this year have been against a Foreign Employment Recruitment Agency which promised employment in the Seychelles.

Reportedly out of 163 cases filed this year, 135 are against the aforementioned Agency.
