“Sri Lanka to tap Chinese panda bond market” – Central Bank Governor [VIDEO]

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Central Bank Governor Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy stated that Sri Lanka is conducting discussions with China to tap the panda bond market.

Dr. Coomaraswamy made this remarks at a media briefing on Friday (03).

He said that the People’s Bank of China had proposed to Sri Lanka that a joint task force be established to examine how Sri Lanka could explore the panda bond market, and Sri Lanka is looking at approximately USD 250 million from the panda bond market.
