Ranatunga says crude oil prices will come down

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Minister Arjuna Ranatunga stated that the crude oil prices in the world market will be decreased in future. He stressed that the prices of local fuel will be amended according to the situation.

The Minister said that when deciding on a sensitive issue such as fuel prices, decisions should be taken by considering the plight of the people.

Minister Ranatunga said that Petroleum Corporations should be maintained as an institution that provides services more than as an institution which earns profit.

He made these remarks following a function at Ganemulla, Horagolla.
