(UTV|COLOMBO) – The main suspect arrested in connection with the Friday’s (22) armed gang robbery in Matara, was shot dead by Police when he allegedly attempted to hurl a grenade at them.
Chamara Indrajith, the main suspect was arrested in connection with jewellery shop robbery and shootout in Matara, was taken to recover his hidden clothes bag at around 7.15 AM on Saturday (23), when he had allegedly attempted to hurl a grenade at the Policemen, prompting them to open fire at him.
The suspect was arrested on Friday when a gang reportedly led by him attempted to rob a jewellery shop in Matara.
